The V-Link uses a unique patented* unconditional refresh method to provide transmission of high quality video images. This update technique is made possible by the latest in custom integrated circuitry. The V-Link update is unaffected by scene changes, making it ideal for use in P/T/Z systems for ease of following movements and action in a scene, without interruption. The V-Link operates as a stand-alone unit (no PC required) and integrates directly into any existing CCTV system, including a matrix, multiplexer or switcher. The system is designed to provide fast, high quality video at a low cost. | Using relatively inexpensive leased copper lines or twisted pair cables, up to 16 cameras can be multiplexed over one pair with multiplexer and pan/tilt/zoom control over a second pair for distances of up to 10 miles. This is accomplished by using the NIT V-Link for video transmission and the Kalatel Multiplexer and Controller Keypad to provide a remote control of both the multiplexer (using a multiplexer with an RS232 port) and Receiver/Driver(s) (using a Receiver/Driver that has RS422 capability). Multiplexer remote control also requires a KTD-93 Multiplexer Receiver. To extend the RS422 beyond the usual approximately 11,000 foot range, an NIT DL2120 DataLink is used. |
