The VH170 16 Channel Video Balun Hub is compatible with the NITEK UTPLinks structured cabling CCTV system and is designed to specifically operate in a TIA/EIA standards-based network cabling environment, Cat 5e or better.  The VH170 can be used as a head-end UTP receiver.  A Telco connector provides a convenient interface with copper backbone cabling.

The Video Balun Combiners are unique transmission devices that provide an economical means of sending video, camera power and RS422 over a standard Cat 5 cable.  A basic system requires one unit at each end of a 4-pair Cat 5 cable.  Video is sent over one pair, RS422 over a second pair and camera power can be sent over the two remaining pairs.  A female BNC connector provides video input or output and two 2-screw terminal strips are provided to connect RS422 control and power, respectively.  Connections to the CAT 5 cable are made via RJ45 connectors on the VB43F and via punchdown terminals on the VB43FPD.  The 43F Video Baluns provide the same high immunity to noise and interference as all of the NITEK baluns.

The unique design of the VB43F allows the combination of video, power and data in a 4-pair Cat 5 cable.  This simplified wiring provides a convenient method of powering the camera, allowing for quicker an easier installations.  The RJ45 modular jack uses standard 568B wiring so spare network cables can be used.

The XP Series Crossover panels are unique unshielded twisted pair (UTP) transmission products designed to operate with TIA/EIA standards-based network cabling or other types of UTP network or telecom cabling.  The panels also operate with more recently available "UTP/CCTV" cabling which combines twisted pairs for video, control and two heavier gage wires for voltage in a common jacket.

The panels are designed to accommodate 4 (XP4) or 8 (XP8) cameras by providing a means to crossover copper backbone cables to horizontal cable runs using the built-in punch-down terminals.

The XP panels also provide a means to insert voltage from a self-contained 28 VAC supply to the individual camera and/or PTZ's, over the horizontal run.  In addition, the XP4D and XP8D models also provide RS422 distribution to the camera/PTZ units.  The XP Panel can be located in an IDF (telecom) closet or any convenient mid-span or head-end location, since the panels include a cabinet lock and key to secure the unit.

Using a single standards-compliant 4-pair UTP Cat 5 or better cable, video, data and power can be sent up to 100 meters to a fixed or PTZ cameral.  For non-standards based applications distances will vary based upon cable types.  The XP panels also have provisions to mount up to two VH439 - 4 camera mini-hub transceivers (not included - see Information and Pricing Chart below).

Modular Crossover Interface Card Cage for the UTPLinks™ Video, Data and Power Over Twisted Pair Transmission System.

The CX452 is a 1 RU card cage designed to hold up to five Modular Crossover cards for the UTPLinks system, mounted horizontally.  The card cage combined with plug-in Crossover cards comprises a video crossover and power insertion unit for the UTPLinks system and depending upon the type of cards used, can also include RS422 distribution and/or video transceiver capability.  Four models of four-channel Crossover cards are available.  The cards can be used in any combination, allowing the rack system to be customized to the specific application.  (Modular cards are sold separately.)  The CX452, configured with plug-in cards, is designed to work with TIA/EIA standards-based structured cabling networks.  The Crossover card cage provides a 50 pin telco at the rear of the unit for easy interfacing with either a copper backbone cable or NITEK video receiver equipment.  Separate 24 VAC power inputs are provided for each card at the rear of the unit.  The CX452 requires the use of a NITEK PS105 or PS110 Power Supply.

The CXM and CHM Crossover cards are unique unshielded twisted pair (UTP) transmission products designed to operate with TIA/EIA standards-based network cabling.  The cards plug into and are powered through the CX452 Modular Card Cage.  The CX452 is a 1 RU card cage that holds up to 5 of the Crossover Insertion Cards.  Power is supplied from a separate PS105 or PS110 Power Supply (purchase separately).  The Crossover system and Power Supply are typically located in an IDF (telecom) closet.  There are four card models available and any of the four can be plugged into the card cage in any combination.  Each card is designed to accommodate 4 cameras.  The primary function of each of the cards is to provide a means of interfacing copper backbone cables to horizontal cable runs and inserting voltage to the individual camera and/or PTZ over the horizontal run.  In addition, models of the cards are available that provide RS422 distribution and/or video transceivers (see available cards - listed below).  Using a single standards-compliant 4-pair UTP Cat 5 or better cable, video, data and power can be sent up to 100 meters to a fixed or PTZ camera.

Crossover interface for the UTP Lynx™ Video, Data and Power Twisted Pair Transmission System. 

The UTP Lynx Crossover is a unique unit designed specifically to work with TIA/EIA standards-based network cabling.  Using a single standards-compliant 4-pair UTP cable, Cat 5e or better, video, data and power can be sent up to 100 meters to a fixed or P/T/Z camera.  The Crossover unit is typically positioned within an IDF (telcom closet) and provides a standard 50 pin telco jack at the rear of the unit for easy interfacing with either a copper backbone or NITEK video receiver equipment.  The CX160 provides power and video connection for fixed cameras only.  The CX220 provides connection for fixed cameras only.  The CX220 provides distribution of RS422 signals for P/T/Z and other control functions as well as for fixed camera operation.  The CX160 and CX220 require the use of a NITEK power supply.  Two models are currently available:  the PS105 and PS110 UTP Lynx Power Supply.
