OPUS V LOUDSPEAKER

With the Opus V, Omage puts reference loudspeakers within reach of all HI-FI enthusiasts. The Opus V provides clean, detailed, "true-to-Life" sound reproduction, as well as excellent transparency, outstanding stage separation and precise localization. The use of matched, high-quality components raises the dynamic range, transparency and staging to a higher level. Descriptions and pictures can highlight design details, quality finishes and draw your attention to technical features, but only listening to the Opus V loudspeakers will enable you to experience its superb sound quality. OPUS V LOUDSPEAKER Design details include 3/4" (20 mm) internal horizontal cabinet bracing, angled 1.5" (38 mm) thick smooth black MDF front baffle, 1" (25 mm) thick piano lacquered natural wood finish on all the other MDF panels and slanted sides. Optional matching pedestals, factory filled with a non-resonant sand compound, set the Opus V at the optimal listening level. TLS V LOUDSPEAKER PEDESTAL The TLS V optional pedestals are 22.5" high (57 cm) and weigh 28 lbs (12.7 kg) each. They are factory-filled with a non-resonant sand compound which prevents messy sand handling. Cone points are included for use on carpeted surfaces and plastic cups are supplied to protect wood floors. Designed to match the Opus V, the TLS V pedestals will improve the look and sound of any loudspeaker.

We have selected for the Opus V loudspeakers the Scan-Speak D2905-9300, hand-coated, textile dome tweeter made in Denmark. The special, multi-layer, hand-coating process produces a unique combination of dynamic linearity and damping of resonances, which enables this tweeter to reproduce very dynamic signals with extremely low levels of compression more accurately than any other comparable tweeter.

 KEVLAR
CONE BASS DRIVERTo match the Scan-Speak treble unit, Omage designed a 6.5" (163 mm) kevlar cone mid-bass unit. A stiffer, impregnated and coated kevlar membrane, a rigid resonance-free die-cast chassis and a newly developed, sloped rubber surround combine to create a well-controlled mid-bass driver that reproduces music in a more open and live way than normally demanded from mid-bass transducers.
